Fade Programming
'fade' is used for an initial acclimation period for newly installed Neptune SKY LEDs. It is used only by the Fusion app. However, it could be used by advanced users directly to create an acclimation period.
The syntax of the 'fade' command is:
fade XX to YYY start MM/DD/YY over CC days
Where:
XX is the desired starting percent
YYY is ending percent. This should be 100
MM/DD/YY is the date to start the acclimation
CC is the number of days in the acclimation cycle
NOTE: you must include the 'to', 'start', 'over', and 'days' keywords.
Example:
This example will start acclimation on December 4th with an initial overall intensity of 75% of that of the normally scheduled intensity. The intensity will increase proportionally each day for 10 days, finally ending up at 100% of the normal scheduled intensity.
When the acclimation period has ended, the 'fade' statement become inactive; you can delete it or you can just leave it there, e.g., ready to be modified the next time you wish to use it.
This is a graph of PAR from a SKY obtained while using the 'fade' command:
The 'fade' command used was:fade 30 to 100 start 11/01/21 over 7 days
Starting out at 30% of normal intensity (which is a 70% reduction in normal intensity) is an extreme and unrealistic example, but this example does serve quite well to clearly illustrate what the fade command does.
